Selection Rules

Brand Management & Marketing Association reviews each membership application individually through an internal admissions process.

BMMA does not grant membership automatically. Applications are evaluated in relation to professional background, quality of work, relevance to the field, public and professional standing, and overall alignment with the standards of the Association.

The purpose of the selection process is to maintain a credible, professional, and selective membership structure.
How BMMA Reviews Applications
Each application submitted to BMMA goes through preliminary review before being considered within the admissions process.

The Association evaluates whether the applicant’s profile corresponds to the professional focus of BMMA, whether the submitted information reflects meaningful experience in the field, and whether the overall profile aligns with the Association’s standards of professional quality and credibility.

Review is based not only on formal position titles, but also on the substance of the applicant’s background, relevance of achievements, clarity of professional role, and consistency of the submitted information.
Core Selection Criteria
BMMA considers several core factors when reviewing whether an applicant should be accepted into the Association.
  • Professional Relevance
The applicant’s work should be meaningfully connected to brand management, marketing, communications, strategic growth, or adjacent professional areas relevant to the Association.
  • Experience and Contribution
The review takes into account the depth of professional experience, the level of responsibility, and the applicant’s contribution to projects, organizations, markets, or professional development in the field.
  • Professional Standing
BMMA considers the credibility, consistency, and seriousness of the professional profile presented by the applicant, including reputation, public positioning, and the overall quality of professional representation.
  • Alignment with BMMA Standards
Applicants are assessed in relation to the values, standards, and professional direction of the Association. Not every qualified professional is automatically considered the right fit for BMMA.
Admissions Committee Review
Applications are reviewed internally in accordance with BMMA standards and membership structure.

The admissions review considers whether the applicant demonstrates an appropriate level of professional maturity, field relevance, clarity of positioning, and overall suitability for association membership.

The review process is selective and is intended to support trust, credibility, and professional consistency across the Association’s membership environment.
What Influences the Decision
The final outcome of review may depend on several factors, including the quality and completeness of the submitted information, the professional relevance of the applicant’s background, the degree of alignment with BMMA’s field and standards, and the overall strength of the profile in the context of the Association.

BMMA reserves the right to accept, decline, or defer an application if additional internal consideration is required.
Possible Review Outcomes
Following review, an application may result in one of the following outcomes:
Accepted for annual membership
Declined following review
Deferred for additional internal consideration
Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into BMMA.
